Sioned is delighted to be returning to the stage with the 20th Anniversary production of Glorious!, in which she originally understudied Maureen Lipman at the Duchess Theatre. Since then, she has performed in several shows in the West End; The Letter – again for the late, great Alan Strachan at Wyndhams, Shadowlands (Wyndhams & Novello); Shakespeare in Love (Coward); Tolstoy (Aldwych), understudying Maureen Lipman again in Lettice & Lovage at the Meniere Chocolate Factory.
At the National Theatre, Sioned worked on five shows: Never So Good (Howard Davies); Oedipus (Jonathan Kent); All’s Well That Ends Well & Women Beware Women (Marianne Elliott) and the world premiere of Mike Bartlett’s 13 (Thea Sharrock).
For the last five years, Sioned has worked as a director. Shows include: The Tempest; Twelfth Night; All’s Well That Ends Well & Macbeth (all for Shakespeare in the Squares); The Silent Treatment with Sarah Louise Young (Summerhall); Holly Penfield’s Tree Woman Tales (Voodoo Rooms) and Diff’rent Times at Greenwich Studio Theatre and on screen. She also directed two short films: The Juror and The Interview - starring Robert Lonsdale and Leah Brotherhood. Sioned is also a practitioner for RADA Business and an avid potter and painter.
